Easy Homemade Muesli

It doesn’t get much easier than this! Save your money and make this easy and tasty homemade muesli, which takes less than 5 minutes to put together and will last you up to 12 breakfasts. The thing I love most about making muesli at home (aside from it being far more cost effective) is that you can control exactly what goes into it and it always aligns to my real food philosophy.

You’ll be pleasantly surprised how simple and easy this recipe is. It’s a crowd favourite and I find all people and all ages generally love it.

Easy Homemade Muesli

Vegan | Gluten Free Option* | Nut Free Option^

Ingredients:

  • 2.5 cups rolled oats

  • 1 cup shredded coconut

  • 1 cup raw almonds (unsalted)

  • 1 cup pepitas (pumpkin seeds)

  • 1/2 cup sunflower seeds

Method

  1. Mix all of the muesli ingredients together and store in an airtight container.

*To make this gluten free, simply swap the 2.5 cups of rolled oats for 1 cup of quinoa flakes, 1 cup of sunflower seeds and 1/2 cup of pepitas.

^Remove the almonds and make this nut free by swapping them for an extra 1/2 cup of pepitas and 1/2 cup of sunflower seeds.

I love serving this with greek yoghurt and mixed berries, but it. tastes great with any other fruit of your choice too.

This will last a couple of weeks stored in an airtight container and makes a great breakfast option that you can grab no matter how busy you get.
